Not only is my phone camera better by virtue of being the one I always have on me, it’s better by the numbers, too. The camera in my LG G4 phone has more impressive specs than the DSLR I used while I was in college.
Despite the control I have over my exposure with full manual settings, there are still features I’m missing on my phone camera and that’s where today’s Design We Love comes in.
Iris Lens Series is a fantastic solution for people who want to do more with their phone camera. It’s a system for being able to quickly upgrade your phone to a wide angle, fish eye, or macro lens camera.
The lenses slide into a housing that’s kept on your phone via an ingenious design of elastic cord.
It works best with a phone in a case, but will work if you’re daring enough to go without one. It works with iPhones and some Android phones like the Galaxy S6. I don’t know if it will work with my LG G4 as the camera is located in the center of phone, but I’m sure I could finagle a solution.
As of the time of this posting, you can buy the cord system and all three lenses for the pre-sale discount of $109 ($140 regular). If you know you’ll use one lens, you can buy them individually for $59 ($69 regular).
All in all this is a great product.
Get it while you can, and take your Instagram game to the next level.
