Welcome to “A life well designed” video.
In this video, we’re going to talk about the second principle of good design which is: anything well designed will be useful.
Objects of good design are created with a specific purpose in mind. Even if quite complex in execution, the finished product should focus on simplicity of functionality.
The same goes for your life.
A life well designed exists for a purpose. Perhaps it’s to provide a home for your family. Or to help provide others with the mental and emotional tools to help even more people. Maybe the purpose of your life is to speak out against the major problems you see in the world.
Your purpose is the main reason to wake up excited about making a positive impact on the world.
Further, a life well designed should emphasize that which is helpful, while minimizing and discarding completely that which will derail your ultimate purpose.
And that’s the second principle of good design. In future videos we’ll go into greater detail on how to discover your purpose.
As always, I’d love to hear from you!
